These are very healthy vegetables, whenever it is a nice recipe, worth to keep.
Wow, the pot roast came out so flavourful and the gravy was also very tasty. We thinly sliced the leftover, used in sandwiches and wraps. Bravo!
The pressure cooker certainly shortened the cooking time significantly, and the roast came out so tender. I didn't have tomato juice, so used tomato sauce instead, and the result was still wonderful. Saved it into my recipe box as well.
Easy and oh so delicious. Any kind of onions work well but for extra sweetness keep an eye out for baby vidalias, top with a quick balsamic glaze to kick it up a notch.
A classic old fashioned great American hash inspired by Julia Child's The Way to Cook. This is a great way to use leftover pork roast and the accompanying leftover vegetables. The key is to create a lovely tasty crust.
This is an awesomely flexible dinner. You basically chop everything up, douse it in oil and some salt, pepper or whichever spices you're in the mood for (or grab first!) and chuck it in the oven for an hour or so.
"A Contest winning recipe from Oma Rollison (my mother) featured in Reminisce Magazine with her now famous Banana's 'N Cream Bundt cake. A San Diego, Calif. newspaper once dubbed her "The Queen of Country Cooking." (I guess the apple never falls far from the tree.) She's no longer with us, but her wonderful recipes are."
I let the roast sit at room temperature 20-30 minutes before placing in the oven. Also, make sure the oven heats up to 500 for a good 20 minutes before roasting meat.
Sweet roasted beets along with tender greens, goat cheese for balance and honey roasted walnuts for some earthy crunch. The combination of the flavours = YUM
Tender braised beef chuck roast with basil, garlic, and onions in savory pan drippings. Simple Dutch oven pot roast that simmers low and slow for 2.5 hours.
Great smell and supper to come home to on a cold winter day. The roast falls apart and with the vegetables makes a wonderful chunky gravy. Our favorite to serve over garlic mashed potatoes. Use whatever size roast and just add more vegetable to your liking.
Quick and easy roasted salmon with a sweet and slightly citrus glaze.
Spicy slow roasted chicken. It is reminiscent of those rotisserie-style chickens that are so popular now, and it is very easy to make.
This is loosely based on a Turkish dish I recently learned how to make. It's tomatoy aubergines with rice.
This way of roasting a turkey produces all the good looks and moist flavor of a near perfect Turkey. Show is off at the table before carving. Fresh herbs and aromatics inside the bird create a wonderful combination of slow roasted flavor.
Slightly sweet, these potatoes go wonderfully with roast pork.
