My mother and I made these cookies when I was little, many years ago, using the box of dry mincemeat. I have looked for years for the recipe, they are the best cookies ever!!!

An Eastern European pastry with a rich history and cultural significance. They are traditionally made from a simple dough consisting of cream cheese, butter, and flour, and filled with sweet fillings like jam, nuts, or cheese.

These turned out perfect—crushed candy canes make them nice and crispy on the outside, with a soft melt-in-the-mouth explosion on the inside. I was really impressed a bit like shortbread with a minty twist.

These cookies are buttery and flakey, love the walnut filling that gives the cookies just enough nuttiness and sweetness. Well balanced flavor, and cute little pockets, just can not have enough of them.

These are so easy to make and are delicious!

I have made a Thanksgiving goose every year for at least 15 years. I have steadily gained on making the perfect bird but I finally found the greatest recipe ever in Cook's Magazine. The divine part of this approach to cooking the goose is that it employs some of the eastern method of drying the skin which is used in Peking Duck. The skin simply drops all its fat and leaves a crispy, dry, delectable skin that folks fight over! No more rubbery, yucky goose skin full of fat!

Traditionally baked during 'Sinterklaas', a feast on 5 December (6 December in Belgium and Germany) on which little children receive gifts from the holy St. Nicholas, the partial inspiration for Santa Claus. In Germany, Pfeffernüsse are traditionally made during the Christmas season.

Just like Santa, I have big orders to fill when it comes to the holidays. Everyone wants me to make them some.

I Remember my Grandmother and Mother making these cookies. Somewhere along the line, I lost the recipe. I have tried to find a recipe with "that" taste I remember so well. Then I saw "this" one, and, for a moment, it brought back not only my childhood but also my mother and grandmother.

WOW. This was AMAZING! I got so many compliments on it, and a few people said they liked it better than pumpkin pie. I have to say I might just agree with that. I made it exactly as it said on the recipe, except I omitted the nuts and added a bit extra cinnamon and some pumpkin pie spice to the cake batter.

This is one of my favorite Christmas Recipe especially for my children. They also loved making it over the years. Thanks again!!

Just like little fruitcakes! I soaked my fruit in the bourbon overnight. Easy recipe to put together and great way to use extra fruit from making my fruitcakes.

After trying numerous green bean casseroles I was not a fan. This casserole changed my mind. Tender-crisp green beans that were actually green. Just the right amount of creamy coating loaded with mushroom flavor. And no canned tasteless fried onions. Delish!

No sugar, flavour is still so nice, and much healthier too!
