Delicious German plum cake!

This decadent brownie recipe was recently clipped from my local newspaper.

This is an all-purpose filling that can be used for cookies, bars, etc. I use it most often to fill hamantaschen. Extremely simple and delicious.

"This cake is a rich, dark, moist fruit cake, very flavorful at Christmas. Try icing with almond paste for a more festive touch. This recipe is started in October or November so as to let it mellow before the holidays. I remember very well my mother storing her fruit cake in an old butter churn that belonged to my grandmother and great grandmother. I wish that I had that old crock."

Super moist, chocolaty and nutty. It is an absolutely delicious cake that can be served at any occasion.

Very moist and fluffy inside, golden brown outside; sour cream added the extra moist and tangy flavor, I used 3/4 cup of brown sugar, and I thought it was the right sweetness. If you have some ripe bananas on hand or you love banana bread, I will definitely recommend this recipe.
