Chow Fun (Fan)
Chow Fun (Fan)

Definitely a five star recipe. I used salami instead of ham, because that was all I had at the moment, and it came out delicious. If you are a big fan of Chinese food and would't mind cooking in your own kitchen, you should give it a go. By the way, chow fan (fun) is how Chinese say fried rice. Happy Cooking :)

Balinese Pumpkin Curry (Kare Waluh)
Balinese Pumpkin Curry (Kare Waluh)

This delicious recipe was one that we were taught in a Balinese cooking class at Casa Luna Cooking School last week. It’s so easy to make and really flavoursome. We’re not massive fans of really spicy food so this dish was perfect as it’s not too hot. Most of the ingredients are readily available in the UK, but incase you struggle to get hold of any we’ve added substitutes which should work just as well. Hope you enjoy!

Pad Thai Spring Rolls
Pad Thai Spring Rolls

Contrary to what you make think, not all Spring Rolls are deep-fried. They can be served fresh as well, which is a lovely option for an appetizer or light meal this summer. It’s quite an extensive list of ingredients, but if you are a fan of Thai cooking, it’s likely you have most of them in your pantry or fridge already. The preparation is a simple whisk, toss, hydrate, roll. And our special touch? We added a peanut sauce to make a “Pad Thai” version, as well as some chillies. Stop, drop and roll – these babies are on fire!

Cinnamon Pate (Cha Que)

This recipe is very tasty with an interesting texture. Unless you're a fan of hard work, use a food processor. The pate was originally pounded to the proper consistency in a mortar and pestle... It can be used all sorts of ways - made into balls for soup, sliced after cooking and added to lettuce or rice paper rolls, served with shrimp chips for munchies - whatever inspires you. The cinnamon flavor is discernible but not overpowering. I've actually made this recipe and found it to be a keeper.

Olive & White Mushroom Soup with 3-colors Fusilli
Olive & White Mushroom Soup with 3-colors Fusilli

Once upon a time I was reading a magazine article about good cooking. The journalist tried to convince me not to use some combinations of ingredients. One of the "banned" combinations mentioned was green and black olives. And so this soup was born to enjoy me.
