Ingredients

6 pounds beef brisket
2 large onions
sliced
1 each garlic cloves
minced
¾ cup brown sugar

½ cup vinegar
1 cup ketchup
1 cup water
1 tablespoon salt
¼ teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Place brisket in heavy skillet and brown on all sides, add onion and garlic and brown.

All other ingredients are now added simmered covered until meat is tender, about 2½ to 3 hours.
