Oven BBQ Beef Brisket

This flavorful brisket recipe is the best we have tasted. Recipe was given to me by my beloved mother-in-law, Wanda (Fab) Carmona. Enjoy over a toasted roll or rice.

Ingredients

Meat
1 large Beef Brisket
½ bottle soy sauce
1 can beef consommé
Juice of 1 lemon
Dash of garlic salt

BBQ Sauce (or use your favorite bottled variety)
1 c. ketsup
4 T. Worcestershire sauce
4 T. brown sugar
4 T. vinegar
2 T. liquid smoke
Cook 10 minutes. Pour over sliced meat and wrap back in foil. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour.

Directions

  1. Mix soy sauce, consomme, garlic salt, and lemon juice and marinate Beef Brisket in it. Refrigerate for 24 hours.

  2. Next day: Pour off liquid, sprinkle meat very generously with paprika.

  3. Wrap in heavy aluminum foil and bake at 250 degrees for 4 to 5 hours or until tender.

  4. Cool completely, slice thinly across the grain.

  5. Prepare sauce: Mix together all ingredients for sauce and cook 10 minutes.

  6. Pour sauce over sliced meat and wrap back in foil. Bake at 300℉ (150℃) for 1 hour.
