Aunt Ann's Favourite Waffles recipe

Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons sugar
2 each egg yolks

1 ¼ cups milk
6 tablespoons vegetable oil
or melted crisco
2 each egg whites

Directions

Sift flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

Beat egg yolks; add milk.

Combine with dry ingredients mixing smooth.

Add shortening or salad oil.

Beat egg whites stiff and fold in.

Cook in waffle iron.

Serve with fresh berries, and maple syrup, orange juice if desired.
