| 1 1/4 | pounds | lamb | lean, raw |
| 1/2 | cup | onion | chopped |
| 2 | tablespoons | soy sauce | |
| 2 | tablespoons | prepared mustard | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | celery seeds | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | dill seed | |
| 2 | tablespoons | parsley leaves | minced |
| 2 | large | eggs | hard cooked, thinly |
| 2 | ounces | olives | ripe, sliced |
| 4 | each | pita bread rounds | 6 inches wide |
| 1 | cup | cucumber | slices |
| Sauce | |||
| 1 | cup | yogurt | unflavoured, nonfat |
| 1/4 | cup | bacon | cooked, crumbled |
| 2 | tablespoons | sunflower seeds | |
In a bowl, mix lamb, onion, soy, mustard, celery seed, dill seed and parsley.
Shape 8 patties, each 4 inches wide; place egg and olives equally in center of 4.
Pinch remaining patties on top to seal.
On a rack in a broiler pan, broil 4 inches from heat until done to your taste, about 5 minutes a side for medium.
Fill bread equally with meat, spinach, cucumber, and sauce.
*** SAUCE *** Mix yogurt, bacon and sunflower seeds.

Amazing recipe! I love this...reminds me of my grandma's cookies. People devour these. I use a buttercream frosting, homemade to frost them. I found the recipe on the back of the confectioners sugar bag. 10 stars...this recipe is a keeper!
