These cookies have got to be one of my favorites. My family can't get enough of them.

Ingredients

1 cup brown sugar packed
1/4 cup margarine softened
1/4 cup vegetable shortening
1/4 cup coffee cold
1 each egg
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg ground
1 3/4 cups flour, all-purpose
1 1/4 cups raisins, seedless
3/4 cup nuts chopped

Directions

Heat oven to 375 degrees F.

Mix brown sugar, margarine, shortening, coffee, egg, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Stir in remaining ingredients.

Drop dough by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.

Bake until almost no indentation remains when touched, 8 to 10 minutes.

Immediately remove from cookie sheet.
