Nut thins are crisp, buttery drop cookies loaded with chopped nuts and vanilla. A simple, vintage cookie that bakes thin and shatter-crisp at low heat. A handful of pantry ingredients, no mixer needed.
This recipe would have been 5 stars without the sliced sun-dried tomatoes. The tomatoes dominated the flavor of the sauce so much that it didn't allow the mushrooms to shine through. My wife liked it, but I noticed she was picking out the tomatoes too.
This simply delicious apple cake is made with 100% whole wheat flour, apple sauce and olive oil. It has much less sugar than a regular cake, but still well satisfies your sweet tooth. The caramel drizzling and toasted walnuts add more shine to the cake. Nobody could resist it!
Pumpkin cheesecake with a buttery graham cracker crust, a cinnamon-and-nutmeg spiced pumpkin filling sweetened with maple syrup, and a glossy maple-walnut topping. The Thanksgiving dessert that outshines pumpkin pie.
Knock You Nakeds are gooey caramel brownies made from chocolate cake mix with a melted caramel and evaporated milk layer sandwiched between chocolate chips and chopped nuts. Sinfully rich.
Pumpkin praline pie hides a buttery pecan-praline layer beneath spiced pumpkin filling in a hot-water pastry crust. A Southern Thanksgiving pie that outshines the standard version.
Three-ingredient cheese bread broils up bubbly and golden in 5 minutes. Parmesan whipped with mayo and slathered on French bread, the lazy cousin of garlic bread that secretly outshines it.
Sweet potato cheesecake on a buttery graham cracker crust with mashed sweet potatoes, cream cheese, cinnamon, and nutmeg, topped with a vanilla sour cream layer. The holiday dessert that outshines every pie on the table.
Great and simple gift-idea! And the result tastes great as well.
This one isn't for the barby, but I thought I'd pass it on anyway. Don't be deceived by the simplicity of this recipe. It's one of the very best sweet and sour rib recipes I've run across as well as being one of the easiest. The taste of the ribs shines through rather than being overwhelmed as it often is with more complex sweet and sour recipes.
