There are a variety of textures-chewy cold noodles (bean thread noodles, some call them cellophane noodles 'cause when you boil them they become clear), crunchy sesame seeds, and crunchy cucumber slices. This decadent brownie recipe was recently clipped from my local newspaper.
This is not your classic bundt cake that's packed with not-so-good-for-you ingredients. The cake is made with 100% whole wheat flour, grapeseed oil, Greek yogurt, low-fat cream cheese, and fresh raspberries. The ganache doesn't have any butter or cream, it contains cocoa powder, honey, grapeseed oil and Greek yogurt. Super chocolaty, fudgy, moist and packed with goodness.
This easy-to-make Japanese miso dressing has loads of flavour. Toss your favourite greens, some chopped tomato, avocado, and/or cucumber with it. Enjoy.
Buckwheat noodles with Asian flavors. Nutty sesame oil coats the noodles spiked with crunchy veggies topped with an Asian inspired dressing. This combination tastes better cold than hot making it a perfect make-ahead dish that's ready when you are. Adding crispy coated tofu and it's a main-dish meal with punch.
Yum! I added some sliced red bell pepper strips to give the dish more colour. Used fresh broccoli instead of mixed frozen veggies, and added a drizzle of sesame oil and rice vinegar in the end as well as some sesame seeds. Enjoyed the dish with a bowl of rice, so good!

Inspired by a Japanese salad I had when I was in Australia. The salad tasted so refreshing, and the miso dressing added tons of flavour. An excellent salad.
It's not that hard to make your own sushi, California roll style at home. Cook some rice, season and wrap up your favorite mix of textures.
The Japanese version of rice is called "Japonica". It's short grain which makes the rice round and extremely sticky when cooled. You can also use aborio or risotto rice which works well.

These were delicious! I don't like mushrooms so nixed those and used a broccoli/cauliflower mixture. Loved it; the added wine and garlic with all the veggies....yum. I believe I used 11 lasagna noodles; putting 1/3 cup of the mixture in each noodle was perfect.
