Quick and easy, belly warming perfect with a pint of German beer.

We make things "from scratch" a lot so I like things that I can make easily. We doubled the recipe and fought over the leftovers.

Grilled new potato, crunchy green beans, feta and olives are tossed with red wine vinaigrette, sprinkling some fresh oregano on top. A light and tasty salad for summer.

I forgot to add the yoghurt and it was still superb. I used sun dried tomato instead of bacon for a vegetarian option. Definitely to be repeated!

I make this soup every Halloween and is the "signal" to the family that the cool weather has arrived. I've been making it for 15 years now and out of all the soups I make, it is still everyone's favorite. Enjoy!

The soup was creamy yet slightly chunky, which was the kind of texture I love. Served it with some homemade croutons, absolutely delicious.

While this cold salad has some elements of a traditional warm German potato salad, it is totally Americanized to suit my family's tastes. Great with grilled burgers, dogs, meats and poultry.

These fritters were very tasty. Made these fritters for dinner the other day, I added 1 chopped scallions and 1 small fresh red chili pepper and also made a chipotle chili and toasted cumin sour cream dip to accompany the fritters, yum!

I had this Greek pastry for the first time in a restaurant and I was not overly thrilled with it. So when I ran across this recipe and saw how easy is was to make I decided to try it. I liked my version much better, which will no doubt cause an uproar. So to anyone who has tried this dessert I want you to make this one and let me know if you like it, maybe it tastes nothing like it is suppose to.

This was THE BEST EVER! So moist and so much flavor with just the right amount of 'kick' to it. I loved loved LOVED this and so did my guest! This gets more than 5 stars! and a double blue ribbon! :)

These easy to make mashed potatoes are very smooth and creamy. The garlic is boiled with the potatoes which embeds the garlic into the potatoes.

Mashed potatoes on top, several kinds of vegetables, give this pie a tasty flavor.
