Directions

Put sugar, milk and margarine together in a saucepan and bring to a rolling boil; boil for one minute.

Mix together oats, cocoa, nuts or coconut, and vanilla.

Pour the liquid over, and mix well.

Drop by spoonfuls onto waxed paper.

Let set until firm.
