Ingredients

1 pound roast beef cooked, thinly sliced
1/2 cup picante sauce
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tablespoon cilantro snipped fresh
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
1/8 teaspoon black pepper cracked
4 each pita bread rounds large
1 x tomato chopped
1 x avocado chopped
1 x green bell pepper chopped
1 x cheese

Directions

Place sliced beef in a plastic bag set inside a bowl.

For marinade: In a medium bowl, combine picante vinegar, oil, cilantro, garlic, pepper.

Pour marinade over beef.

Seal bag; marinate inthe refrigerator for 4-24 hours, turning bag occasionally.

To serve, drain and discard the marinade.

Fill each pita half with beef.

Top with chopped vegetables and feta cheese.

Acorns

My mother used to make these cookies every year for the holidays, and it's nice to see they're on recipeland. Instead of hand molding the cookies into the acorn shape, she used to use a teaspoon to form the cookies. You still put the chocolate and nuts on the fat end of the cookie, but it's a little quicker to make them using the spoon.
