Ingredients

2 cups flour, all-purpose
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
.5 teaspoon salt
.25 cup butter
1 cup golden raisins
2 teaspoons caraway seeds
1 cup yogurt, plain
1/3 cup honey
2 tablespoons milk, whole (or cream)

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 325°F.

2. In large bowl, combine flours, baking soda and salt until thoroughly mixed. Cut in the butter until mixture resembles small peas. Mix in raisins and caraway seeds.

3. In separate bowl, whisk together yogurt and honey; blend into dry mixture.

4. Turn dough onto lightly floured work surface; knead until smooth, about 1 minute. Shape dough into a ball. Place on lightly greased baking sheet. With a sharp knife, cut a shallow "X" on top of round. Brush top with milk.

5. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until golden brown and crust is firm. Cool before slicing. Yields 1 loaf.

Al And Tipper Gore's Chinese Chicken with Walnuts

This recipe calls for a "Chinese" chicken which I don't have. I do have a chicken from Albania and one from Mexico (but I don't think it is legal). Would it increase global warming if I was to fly one in from mainland China?
