| 1/4 | cup | sesame seeds | |
| 1/2 | cup | whole wheat flour | |
| 1/2 | tablespoon | salt | |
| 1/2 | tablespoon | cinnamon | |
| 1/4 | cup | nuts | finely minced |
| 1/2 | tablespoon | vanilla extract | |
| 1/2 | cup | sweet butter | |
| 3 | tablespoons | honey | |
| Filling | |||
| 5 | cups | apples | sliced, tart cooking |
| 1 | x | lemon | juice and rind |
| 1/4 | cup | honey | |
| 2 | tablespoons | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1/2 | tablespoon | cinnamon | |
| 1/4 | tablespoon | nutmeg | |
| 1 | each | egg | |
| 1/2 | cup | sour cream | |
Crust: Combine oats, sesame seeds, whole wheat flour, salt, cinnamon, nuts and vanilla.
Melt together butter and honey; add to crust ingredients and mix well.
Press firmly into bottom and sides of 9 inch pie pan.
Filling: Combine apples with lemon juice and rind.
Drizzle in honey.
Toss gently till uniformly coated. Sift in flour, cinnamon andamp; nutmeg. Toss again to coat.
Distribute neatly into crust, covering crust completely.
Beat together egg andamp; sour cream; drizzle slowly over apples.
Bake 35-40 min in 375 oven.
Free Crust: 1 box (6-7 oz) fat free cookies in fine crumbs (1 1/2 cups) Moisten fingers with water and press crumbs firmly and evenly into bottom and sides of 9 inch pie pan.
Make filling as above and bake according to directions.
