Whole wheat flour adds nutty depth while oregano, basil, and garlic deliver those classic pizza spice notes throughout the crumb.
Timing the pepperoni addition prevents the machine from chopping it too fine while still distributing flavor evenly.

- Raisin bread cycle: This setting automatically beeps to add mix-ins at the perfect moment
- Manual timing: Without that cycle, add pepperoni 18-25 minutes in so it kneads properly without turning to mush
- Dice small: Quarter-inch pepperoni pieces distribute better than large chunks

Directions
Place all ingredients except pepperoni in bread machine in order suggested by manufacturer and process on raisin bread cyle if that option is available.
At the beep add the pepperoni.
If your machine does not have a raisin bread cycle, add pepperoni about 18 to 25 minutes (depending on your machine’s kneading cycle) into first kneading cycle--you need to allow 4 or 5 minutes of kneading for it to assimilate the pepperoni into the dough properly.
