Ingredients

2 cups carrot grated
2 cups potatoe grated
2 1/2 cups bread crumbs soft
2 cups raisins, seedless
2 cups currants
2 cups brown sugar
1 1/2 cups suet or 1 cup margarine
4 tablespoons sour milk
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup flour, all-purpose
2 teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon allspice

Directions

Mix in order given.

Turn into well greased heat proof bowl; cover and steam about 3 hours.

Takes a medium sized bowl.

Serve with brown sugar sauce, or custard, or whatever you like.
