Ground Beef-Green Beans One Dish Meal

Ingredients

1pound ground beef
1/2cup onion chopped
1cup celery chopped
1cup mushrooms sliced, or water chestnuts
1x salt
1x black pepper
2cans green beans 16 ounces, drained
2cans soup, cream of mushroom diluted, with 1 1/2 cans water or milk
1bag tater tots frozen

Directions

Brown ground beef, onions, celery and mushrooms or water chestnuts.

Place half of meat mixture in bottom of 9 x 13-inch bake pan.

Add string beans.

Cover with remaining meat mixture.

Pour diluted mushroom soup over all.

Cover with Tater Tots and bake at 375 degrees F for 30 minutes or until casserole is bubbly and potatoes are crispy.

It's worth the little bit of extra effort to use fresh green beans. Even frozen ones would give a higher nutritional rating to this dish. And rice would be a good starch; tater tots are so processed.
