Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup corn syrup, dark
1 cup pecans coarsely chopped
3 large eggs
1 each pie shell (9 inch) unbaked
2 tablespoons butter melted

Directions

Combine sugar and corn syrup in a small saucepan; bring to a boil.

Beat eggs at medium speed til blended.

Gradually add hot sugar mixture to eggs, beating constantly.

Stir in butter, vanilla and pecans.

Pour mixture into pie shell; bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes.
