Ingredients

1/2 cup butter at room temp
1 cup sugar
4 each egg yolks beaten
1 pinch salt
1 cup cream heated
1/2 cup bourbon whiskey

Directions

1. In a small bow, with a hand mixer or whisk, cream butter and sugar.

2. Transfer to the top of a double boiler and place over, but not touching simmering water.

Beat in egg yolks an salt. Slowly add hot cream and stir until thickened. Add Bourbon and stir until an even consistency is obtained. Keep warm.

3. Serve over any dessert pudding, ice cream, or poundcake.

French Rabbit Stew

The recipe as I made it was delicious... but after "Add the broth and wine... I had to improvise, when to add the onions, mushrooms and bacon... also I sprinkled the meat with the white flower before browning and added a little paprika and some more flower with a little cream to thicken the sauce when it was cool enough so the cream would not curdle. Served it over fluffy white rice and added baby green beans... delicious!
