Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degree F.
In a large mixing bowl, mix together flour, brown sugar, baking powder, sugar, butter, oats, salt, and vanilla extract until well combined, and a coarse mixture forms.
Set aside 1 1/2 cups oat mixture.
Press remaining oat mixture into bottom of a well buttered 9 x 13-inch baking pan that is also lined with parchment paper.
Bake 10 minutes. Spread jam evenly onto crust.
In another bowl, mix cream cheese, remaining 2 tablespoons sugar, and almond extract.
Spoon small dollops of cream cheese mixture onto preserves, then sprinkle with reserved oat mixture.
Bake about 35 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let bars cool completely in pan on wire rack.
Cut into bars. Serve and enjoy.
