1 hrsIf you can stack ingredients in a pan, you can make these bars. No mixer, no bowls, no fuss. Melted butter goes in first, then graham cracker crumbs, flaked coconut, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, a drizzle of sweetened condensed milk, and a crown of chopped walnuts.
Thirty minutes in the oven turns it all into a gooey, crunchy, chewy slab of everything good. The condensed milk melts down through the layers, binding them together into bars that somehow hold their shape while still being gloriously messy.
These are the bars that vanish at bake sales before you even finish setting up the table.
Kitchen Tips
- Press the graham cracker crumbs firmly into the melted butter for a solid base
- Drizzle the condensed milk as evenly as possible so every bite gets that caramel-like sweetness
- Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting, or they’ll crumble apart
- Swap butterscotch chips for the peanut butter chips if you want a different spin
