Directions
Soak clean rice & urad dal in water for around 1 hours. Grind the rice and dal together in a mixwer to make a fine paste. Mix the paste thoroughly, cover it and leave it overnight at some warm place. Chop the onion, tomato, carrot, curry leaves, coriander leaves and green chilli. Mix all the chopped ingredients into the batter and add salt to it. Heat a non-stick pan and put around 2 ladles of batter and spread it thoroughly with a spatula. Heat the pan on medium flame for about 2 minutes and then flip the uttapam and cook the other side. You can sprinkle a little ghee or butter to add some more delicious taste to the uttapam. Your Onion Tomato Utappam is ready to be served hot with coconut chutney, tomato chutney and sambhar.
