Family Favorite Creamy Potato Soup

 

This potato soup is cheesy and creamy. The perfect dish to warm and comfort you on the coldest winter nights!

Ingredients

6-8 yukon gold potatoes
1 pkt salt free chicken bouillon
1 Tbsp dehydrated onion
1 tsp garlic powder
1 Tbsp salt
1 cup warm milk
1-2 Tbsp butter
8 slices American Cheese

Directions

  1. Peel and cut potatoes into 1-inch chunks.
  2. Add potatoes to pot of water.
  3. Bring water and potatoes to boil.
  4. Add bouillon, onion, garlic, and salt.
  5. Boil for 7 to 10 minutes, until potatoes are fork tender.
  6. Drain potatoes.
  7. Add milk, butter, and American Cheese. Once cheese is melted, smash ½ of the potatoes to thicken the soup.
  8. Ladle soup into individual bowls or mugs and enjoy!
