Ingredients

¼ pound ground beef
4 tablespoons onions
chopped
2 tablespoons celery
chopped
2 tablespoons green bell peppers
chopped
teaspoon thyme

¼ teaspoon sugar
½ teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 ½ tablespoons chili sauce
cup tomatoes, canned
½ cup water
¼ cup pearl barley
1 x salt and black pepper
to taste

Directions

Sauté beef, onion, celery and green pepper.

Pour off fat and stir in rest of the ingredients and bring to a boil then turn down heat and simmer until barley is cooked.
