7 Layer Bars

Scrumptious snacks made with chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, coconut and walnuts.













Trans-fat Free, Low Carb, Low Sodium


½ cup butter
1 cup graham cracker crumbs
1 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet)
1 cup butterscotch chips
1 ⅓ cups coconut
flaked or shredded
½ cup walnuts
1 can milk, sweetened condensed


Melt butter in a 13 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Sprinkle crumbs evenly over butter.

Sprinkle in layers, chocolate chips, butterscotch chips, nuts, and top with coconut.

Pour condensed milk over all. Bake in a pre-heated 350℉ (180℃) F oven for 30 minutes. Let cool and cut in bars.

I absolutely adored these bars. They were so so so yummy, easy to make, and well satisfied my sweet tooth. I made two changes: 1. I made my crust instead of graham cracker, the crust was made of 2/3 cup whole wheat flour and 1/3 cup toasted, ground almond, 2 tablespoons of butter and 1 tablespoon olive oil. 2. I added 1 cup chopped dried fruits (cranberries and apricots) in between the chocolate and butterscotch chips layers. The bars were certainly sweet, and lots of deliciousness and great textures. A great recipe for a party or any get-together occasion, and no doubt that everyone will love them!

This recipe was excellent. The whole family enjoyed it very much. It wasn't long before it was all eaten up. I will definitely make it again and pass it on.

I made these Christmas time and my boyfriend (who doesn't like coconut) loved these bars. Everybody who tried them just loved them and they are sooooo simple to make. They also freeze well!
