| 1 1/2 | pounds | pork | lean, ground |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | black pepper | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | allspice | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | cloves | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | ginger |
Put the pork into a mixing bowl.
Add the salt, pepper, allspice, cloves, and ginger.
Stir well.
Divide the mixture into 12 portions.
Roll each portion into a ball and flatten it to make a patty.
Place a heavy 10-inch skillet over medium heat for 1 minute.
Arrange 6 sausage patties in the skillet and cook until golden brown (about 3 to 4 minutes on each side).
Put the cooked patties on an ovenproof plate and cover them with foil.
Put the plate in a warm oven (200 degrees F).
Remove any extra grease from the skillet.
Then cook the remaining 6 patties.
