Just 4 ingredients: devil’s food cake mix, melted butter, peanut butter, and marshmallow creme layered into gooey, fudgy bars. Makes 3 dozen in 40 minutes with zero mixer required.

Devil’s food cake mix gets tossed with melted butter into a crumbly base that goes into the pan, then a sticky layer of peanut butter and marshmallow creme spreads across the middle.
The reserved crumbs go on top, and 20 minutes in the oven later, you’ve got three dozen fudgy, chewy, peanut-buttery bars.
They’re the kind of treat you bring to a bake sale and pretend took way more effort than they actually did.
Pro Tips
- Let the melted butter cool for a couple minutes before mixing with the cake mix. Too hot and you’ll get a sticky paste instead of crumbs.
- Dampen your fingers when pressing the crumb layer into the pan to keep it from sticking to your hands.
- These taste even better the next day once the layers have had time to set and meld together.

Directions
Combine melted butter and dry cake mix (let butter cool down a couple of minutes before adding to dry mix.
Mixture should be crumbly.
If butter is too hot, the result will be a sticky mass rather than a crumbly mixture.
Reserve 1 to ½ cups of this mixture for topping.
Pat remaining crumb mixture into an ungreased 9 x 13 pan.
Combine peanut butter and marshmallow creme and spread evenly over the crumb mixture in the pan.
Crumble the reserved 1 to ½ cups of cake mixture over the peanut butter/marshmallow creme layer.
Bake 20 minutes at 350℉ (180℃).
Let cool, cut into bars, and serve one piece at a time.
