Two ingredients. One bowl. Done. This salsa spread mixes mayonnaise-style dressing with your favorite salsa for a creamy, slightly spicy condiment that works on sandwiches, wraps, burgers, or as a chip dip.

The ratio here is 2:1 dressing to salsa, which keeps the spread thick enough to hold on bread without dripping. The dressing mellows the salsa’s heat and acidity, so the result is tangy and rich rather than sharp.

Let it chill in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before using. The flavors blend and mellow as they sit, and the texture firms up slightly.

Kitchen Tips

  • Use chunky salsa if you want bits of tomato and pepper in the spread; smooth salsa gives a more uniform texture
  • Adjust the ratio: more salsa for heat, more dressing for creaminess
  • Keeps in the fridge for up to a week in a sealed container

Variations

  • Use chipotle salsa for a smoky version
  • Stir in a squeeze of fresh lime juice and chopped cilantro for a Tex-Mex twist
  • Swap mayo-style dressing for sour cream or Greek yogurt for a lighter dip
