This is the hero sandwich that feeds a crowd without breaking a sweat.

Yeast dough rises quickly with hot roll mix, then rolls out into a rectangle to cradle layers of deli ham, salami, Swiss cheese, and shredded cheddar. Sauteed onions and peppers tossed with Dijon mustard spread over the meats before you fold the dough over, seal it tight, and bake it until the crust turns golden and crackly.

Slice it crosswise into 20 pieces and watch it disappear at your next potluck.

Pro Tips

  • Use hot roll mix for a quick rise without lengthy proofing times
  • Overlap meat and cheese slices generously to ensure filling in every bite
  • Pinch edges tightly and tuck ends under to prevent leaks during baking
  • Let the loaf rest 15 to 30 minutes before slicing for cleaner cuts and easier handling
