| 1 | large | onion | chopped |
| 3 | each | bacon slices | diced |
| 16 | ounces | tomatoes, canned | cut up, well-drained |
| 1 | cup | cheddar cheese, very old, sharp | |
| 3 | large | eggs | slightly beaten |
| 1/2 | cup | biscuit baking mix (bisquick) | |
| 1 | cup | milk | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | basil | crushed |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | black pepper |
Saute onion and bacon.
Drain. Spread in greased 9 inch pie plate with tomatoes and cheese.
In bowl, beat remaining ingredients with beater or whisk until smoo th.
Pour into pie plate. Bake in preheated 375 degrees F. oven for 30-35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean.
