| 1/4 | cup | butter | plus more for dish |
| 1 | each | onion | chopped |
| 16 | ounces | sour cream, non-fat | |
| 10 1/2 | ounces | soup mix | cream of celery, canned |
| 8 | ounces | cheddar cheese | and Monterey Jack cheese blend, shredded |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | garlic powder | |
| 30 | ounces | hash brown potatoes | frozen shredded, thawed |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 2 | cups | potato chips | crushed |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | black pepper | ground |
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Lightly butter a casserole dish.
In a small skillet, melt 1/4 cup of butter over medium heat.
Add onion, and cook 3 to 4 minutes, or until soft.
Pour mixture into a large bowl.
Add the sour cream, cream of celery soup, cheese, garlic powder, hash browns, and salt and pepper.
Combine until well blended.
Pour mixture into prepared baking dish.
Top evenly with crushed potato chips and bake for 45 minutes, or until hot and bubbly.

What comes to mind when you think of French cuisine? Lavish food? Cream and butter? Red wine? Pastry? Big price tag? There are many facets...
This bread is so good! Not hard to prepare, and it went great with pasta. The tomatoes were a sweet addition and complimented the chives very well.
