Ingredients

1 cup brown sugar
2 cups whole wheat flour
2 tablespoons lard or butter
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 large eggs
1 pint sour milk

Directions

Mix all together and bake in moderate oven for 45 - 60 minutes.

Moderate oven is 350 - 400 F.
