| 2 | cups | apples, tart | peeled, diced |
| 1 | tablespoon | sugar | |
| 1 | teaspoon | lemon juice | |
| 1 | pint | salt | |
| 1/2 | cup | celery | chopped |
| 1/2 | cup | raisins, seedless | or dried cranberry |
| 1/2 | cup | walnuts | chopped |
| 3/4 | cup | whipped topping, prepared | |
| 1/4 | cup | marshmallows | miniature |
Place the apples in a medium serving bowl and sprinkle with sugar, lemon juice and salt.
Stir in the celery, dates and walnuts.
In a separate bowl, whip the cream with an electric mixer until it can hold a peak.
Mix in mayonnaise and gently fold into the apple mixture along with the marshmallows.
Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
