Ingredients

2 cups butter
5 cups oatmeal
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups brown sugar
2 teaspoons baking powder
4 large eggs
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoon vanilla extract
24 ounces chocolate chips
4 cups flour, all-purpose
1 x nuts chopped, optional

Directions

Cream together butter, sugar, and brown sugar.

Add 4 eggs and vanilla.

Mix in flour, oatmeal, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.

Add a 24-oz bag of chocolate chips, one 8-oz Hershey bar (grated), and/or 3 c chopped nuts.

Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet. Bake golf ball sized cookies, placed 2 inches apart at 375 degrees for 15 minutes.

Fresh Asparagus-Shrimp Rice

This really was good. I was out of rice, but I did have orzo, so I used that. Only things I would change is the amount of pepper -- just a smidge will do; and the amount of margarine. If you are making this in a non-stick pan, as the recipe directs, I think you're fine with half that amount.
