These quick and easy fritters are made with sweet potatoes, peas, fresh mint, cilantro, and whole wheat flour. They are not only good for you, but also taste delicious. Serve these warm fritters with sour cream, hot sauce or any your favorite dipping sauce.
This favorite back-to-school treat is kicked up with a topping of creamy caramel and a sprinkling of sea salt.
Nobody will say no to this delicious lasagna. Layers of great flavors and very filling. Perfect to make ahead, then reheat it at the dinner time.
Tasty, easy to prepare, brandy recipe for boneless pork chops. Best with 1" thick chops, a leafy spinach salad with walnuts, rasberry vinaigrette dressing with a dash of balsimic vinegar, and a glass of dark earthy Merlot. One of my favorite discoveries.
Making pot stickers are pretty much as same as making dumplings, the only thing different is how to cook them. Instead of boiling in the water, we fry them in a nonstick skillet with a bit oil, which really develops a layer of golden, brown and crispy bottoms with great texture. Serve these yummy pot stickers with a mixture of rice vinegar, a little bit soy sauce, a dash of sesame oil and splash of hot pepper oil.
In a latest experiment with homemade soups, I combined the ideas from my own Hot and Sour Soup and my mother-in-law's Shanghai Meatball Soup. The result was unquestionably great and both my sons (who are excellent cooks themselves) declared it my finest effort. I hope you enjoy it, too!!
Found this recipe in donna hay magazine, and I just happened to have all the ingredients this recipe called for. I did make a few changes and cook it differently. The frittata came out delicious, but next time I will cook it on the stove top first to give a nicely browed bottom, then broil at the last a few minutes.
Try something different for your kids at Halloween, this hearty healthy tomato soup served with ghost toast, kids love this creation!
These gluten-free (can be dairy free and nut free, see Notes) muffins are a great start to the day as they contain no refined sugars and instead provide slow release energy through their relatively high protein content. If you are diabetic, use stevia in place of maple syrup.
Toss vermicelli, cucumber, radishes, lettuce with store-bought or homemade peanut sauce. The dish can be made a few hours or one day ahead. A deliciously refreshing summer dish.
Quick and easy yet dressy and good for company. The prosciutto wrapped around the asparagus gets crispy under the broiler and the tomato garlic dressing adds even more flavor.
Perfect for feeding a crowd and easily scaled to feed a larger crowd. No spices to disagree with anyone, just solid belly warming filling goodness.
This easy and refreshing salad has lots of great textures, and it's quite filling as well. Serve it as a side dish or a tasty and nutritious vegetarian main course.
This turned out quite nicely, great mix of textures and flavors. If you use store bought salsa and store bought tortilla chips you will want to watch the salt levels.
My two favorites were dark chocolate drizzled with white chocolate and white chocolate with crushed candy cane. These make great hostess gifts or gifts for neighbors or coworkers.
Roasted pears are tender, juicy with delicious caramelization. The mixture of arugula and romain lettuce adds yummy peppery taste and some nice refreshing crunch. The toasted walnuts and Parmesan cheese give extra yumminess.
