Super Spice Cake

Cake
1 Box of Spice Cake Mix
1 can of Comstock or other Apple Pie Filling
3 eggs
1/3 cup of oil
1/3 cup of water (Put in empty pie filling can and get remaining sauce) Add to bowl
1/2 to 1 cup chopped nuts (I like using spiced pecans)
Frosting
1 tub Creamy Cream Cheese Frosting
1 jar (about 8 oz) of Dulce de Leche sauce. (If not available, can use Caramel sauce)
Chopped nuts for sprinkling on frosted cake. (I use spiced pecans)

Directions
Put entire can of apple pie filling in a large mixing bowl.
Add eggs, oil, and water.
Stir, making larger apple pieces a little smaller.
Add cake mix. Blend well (Don't use a mixture, it will pulverize your apple pieces).
Add chopped nuts.
Pour into greased or "Pammed" cake pan.
Bake at 350 degrees for about 40 minutes. At this point, start checking for doneness by putting a long toothpick in the center. Will probably need another 10 minutes or so.
Cool cake completely.
When cool, mix together the cream cheese frosting and Dulce de Leche sauce.
Frost cake with this mixture.
Sprinkle with spiced pecan pieces.
Serve alone or a la mode.
