South Beach-Style Mocha Ricotta Creme
Sweetened ricotta and chocolate make the perfect South Beach Diet Phase 1 dessert.
Ingredients
½ | cup |
ricotta cheese
part-skim |
|
1 | teaspoon |
cocoa powder
unsweetened |
|
¼ | teaspoon |
vanilla extract
|
|
1 | each |
sugar substitute
packet (I use Splenda) |

1 | dash |
instant coffee, espresso
powder, or ground cinnamon |

5 | each |
mini chocolate chips
or coarsely chopped chocolate |

Directions
Process the ricotta if the texture is too coarse.
Mix together the ricotta, cocoa powder, vanilla extract and sugar substitute. Place in serving cup; chill.
Serve chilled and dusted with espresso powder or ground cinnamon and sprinkled with the chocolate chips.
