| 1/2 | cup | mayonnaise | |
| 1/4 | cup | sour cream | |
| 1 | cup | apple | chopped |
| 1 | teaspoon | lemon juice | |
| 3/4 | cup | beets | cooked, chopped |
| 6 | slices | lettuce | |
| 6 | each | sweet red pepper rings | cut in half |
Combine mayonnaise and sour cream; mix well.
Toss apple with lemon juice.
Add mayonnaise mixture and beets, mix lightly.
Chill. For each serving, place 1/2 cup salad on lettuce slice.
Surround with 2 half-slices of red pepper, molding the salad o form a heart shape.
