| 3/4 | pound | asparagus spears | |
| 1 | x | nonstick cooking spray | |
| 1 | teaspoon | sesame oil | |
| 3/4 | tablespoon | balsamic vinegar | |
| 1 | teaspoon | white sesame seeds | toasted |
| 1/ 8 | teaspoon | cayenne pepper | or more to taste |
| 1 | x | salt | to taste |
| 1 | x | black pepper | to taste |
| 1 | tablespoon | parmesan, parmigiano-reggiano cheese, grated |
Preheat oven to 450°.
Snap off tough ends of asparagus.
Arrange asparagus in a single layer on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray; brush with sesame oil.
Bake at 450°for 10 minutes or until just tender.
Remove sheet from oven.
Add vinegar, sesame seeds, red pepper, salt and black pepper to asparagus, tossing gently to combine.
Sprink the cheese on top.
Serve warm or room temparature.
And I also had a bunch of asparagus left too, and this recipe is very close to the cauliflower recipe, so I prepared this one at the same time, and roasted them together in the oven, and served asparagus with cauliflower, and they were both delicious.
