| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | baking powder | |
| 2 1/2 | cups | sugar | |
| 2 | tablespoons | poppy seeds | |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | almond extract | |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | vanilla extract | |
| 3 | large | eggs | |
| 1 1/2 | cups | milk | |
| 1 1/3 | cups | vegetable oil | |
| 6 | tablespoons | sugar | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | almond extract | |
| 2 | tablespoons | orange juice | |
| 2 | tablespoons | butter | melted |
Combine flour, salt, baking powder, 2 1/2 cups sugar, poppy seed, flavorings, eggs, milk and oil in mixer bowl.
Beat at medium speed until mixed.
Spoon into 2 greased and floured 5 x 9-inch loaf pans.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/4 hours or until loaves test done.
Brush hot loaves with mixture of 6 tablespoons sugar, 1/4 teaspoon almond extract, orange juice and butter.
