| 1 1/2 | pound | beef | ground, lean |
| 1/2 | cup | onion | chopped |
| 1 1/2 | cup | rice | long grain, uncooked |
| 1 | each | soup, cream of mushroom | can |
| 1 | each | soup, cream of celery | can |
| 2 | each | water | soup cans |
Brown ground beef and onion; drain off fat. Put in greased 2 quart casserole. Add rice. Combine soups in mixing bowl; gradually stir in water until blended and smooth. Pour over rice.
Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or unti liquid has been absorbed and rice is tender.
Makes 6 - 8 servings.
Everyone loves it..I made a few additions:
1 can of sliced water chestnuts and 1/2 C of slivered almonds about 15 min before baking ends.

General:Caraway Seed is actually the fruit of a biennial herb in the parsley family, known as Carum carvi. The seed is about 1/5-inch long and tapered at the ends. The hard seed shells have five pale ridges....
This was easy and tested on company and they asked for the recipe. I added sliced fresh celery when I put the tomatoes in the jars.
