| 1 | pound | smoked sausage | sliced |
| 1 | pound | lentils | |
| 1/2 | cup | onion | chopped |
| 1/2 | cup | celery | sliced |
| 1/2 | cup | carrots | sliced |
| 1/8 | teaspoon | garlic salt | |
| 2 1/2 | teaspoons | salt | |
| 1 1/2 | teaspoons | oregano | |
| 6 | ounces | tomato paste | |
| 8 | cups | water | |
| 20 | ounces | tomatoes, canned |
In a large stock pot, combine all of the ingredients except the tomatoes.
Cook for 1 hour and 30 minutes. Add the tomatoes and simmer for 30 minutes.
Serves 12
It was horrible, it was heavy, and if you really need to through everything in a pot go for it. I love soup, but this was awful. Everything went in the garbage. What a waste of time and money.
Wish some members new what ratings mean. Sorry I went and bought everything for the soup.

I've made this soup several times, and each time I'm amazed at how good and easy it is to make. Everyone should give this one a try. I just wanted to thank the poster for submitting the recipe.
