| 1 | stick | margarine, non-fat | |
| 3/4 | cup | sugar | white |
| 3/4 | cup | brown sugar | |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | nutmeg | |
| 2 | teaspoons | cinnamon | |
| 2 | teaspoons | baking soda | |
| 2 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 4 | cups | apples | chopped |
| 1 | cup | raisins, seedless | coconut or nuts, optional |
Mix first 5 ingreds and beat well. Add next four ingreds and mix well.
Add flour and mix.
Gently stir in apples and any optional ingreds.
Oil and dust with sugar a 9 x 13 cake pan.
Pour in cake mix andamp; bake @ 350 for 45-50 min till apples are tender.
