Ingredients

1 package cake mix, golden butter
3 large eggs
1 stick butter
2/3 cup water
4 each apples pared, sliced
3 tablespoons sugar
4 teaspoons cinnamon ground

Directions

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.

Grease and flour 10 inch tube pan.

Combine dry cake mix; eggs, butter and water in large mixer bowl.

Mix cake as directed on package.

Turn 2/3 of the batter into pan.

Toss apples with sugar and cinnamon.

Spoon over batter in pan.

Spread remaining batter over apples.

Bake at 375 degrees F. for 45 to 50 mins. or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.

Cool in pan on rack for 25 mins.

Remove from pan; cool completely on rack.

Sprinkle cooled cake with confectioners' sugar.
