A delicious rice dish that gets its wonderful flavor from the shredded cheddar cheese and a bit of chili powder.

Ingredients

16 ounces tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
3 teaspoons chili powder
1/2 cup tortilla chips crushed
1/2 cup cheddar cheese shredded
1 1/2 cups minute rice

Directions

Combine tomato sauce, water and chili powder in a medium sized saucepan.

Bring to a full boil. Stir in rice. Cover, remove from heat and let stand for 10 minutes. Sprinkle with tortilla chips and cheese. Serve with shredded lettuce and sour cream if desired. From: Syd's Cookbook.
