10 minThis strawberry yogurt cooler is a three-ingredient blended drink that’s light, fizzy, and naturally sweet from the berries alone. No added sugar, no juice, no ice cream. Just fresh strawberries, nonfat plain yogurt, and club soda blended smooth and poured into a chilled glass.
The club soda is what makes this a cooler instead of a regular smoothie. It adds a fizzy lift that keeps the drink from feeling heavy, and the carbonation gives it an almost soda-like quality without any sweetener.
Blend until completely smooth so the carbonation distributes evenly. Chunks of berry block the bubbles and the fizz dies fast.
Kitchen Tips
- Use ripe, sweet strawberries. Since there’s no added sugar, the berries need to carry all the sweetness on their own. Underripe berries make a tart, flat drink.
- Chill the glasses beforehand. A cold glass keeps the drink fizzy and refreshing longer.
- Add the soda water last and pulse briefly. Over-blending kills the carbonation. A few quick pulses is enough to incorporate it.
- Serve immediately. The fizz fades fast once blended. This is a pour-and-drink situation.
Variations
- Berry blend cooler: Use a mix of strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries for a mixed berry version.
- Tropical cooler: Swap the strawberries for frozen mango chunks and add a squeeze of lime juice.
