| 1 | pound | ground beef | lean |
| 12 | ounces | bacon | diced |
| 1 | cup | onion | chopped |
| 1/2 | cup | scallions, spring or green onions | chopped |
| 1/4 | cup | green bell pepper | chopped |
| 1/2 | pound | smoked sausage | sliced |
| 16 | ounces | kidney beans | drained, rinsed |
| 16 | ounces | beans with pork, canned | drained |
| 16 | ounces | lima beans | can, drained, rinsed |
| 1 | cup | soybeans (daizu) | cooked, drained or great northern beans |
| 1 | cup | ketchup | or chili sauce |
| 1/4 | cup | honey | or brown sugar |
| 1 | tablespoon | liquid smoke | optional |
| 3 | tablespoons | vinegar | |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | tablespoon | worcestershire sauce | |
| 1 | x | black pepper | and cayenne, to taste |
Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain off fat; place in a slow cooker or crockpot. Brown bacon; remove to paper towel. Drain fat from skillet; lightly brown onion, green onions, and green pepper. Add to slow cooker with bacon and all remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 4 - 6 hours.

WOW, I have never tasted such yummy almond cookies before, in the afternoon, before dinner, it is really very perfect snack along with a glass of juice. When my mom showed them to me the first time, great! She made a lot. It is enough for a week, next week I will try again!
