Ingredients

1 pound ground beef lean
12 ounces bacon diced
1 cup onion chopped
1/2 cup scallions, spring or green onions chopped
1/4 cup green bell pepper chopped
1/2 pound smoked sausage sliced
16 ounces kidney beans drained, rinsed
16 ounces beans with pork, canned drained
16 ounces lima beans can, drained, rinsed
1 cup soybeans (daizu) cooked, drained or great northern beans
1 cup ketchup or chili sauce
1/4 cup honey or brown sugar
1 tablespoon liquid smoke optional
3 tablespoons vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 x black pepper and cayenne, to taste

Directions

Brown ground beef in a skillet. Drain off fat; place in a slow cooker or crockpot. Brown bacon; remove to paper towel. Drain fat from skillet; lightly brown onion, green onions, and green pepper. Add to slow cooker with bacon and all remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low for 4 - 6 hours.
