25 minThis streamlined chicken kiev skips the deep fryer but keeps that dramatic butter burst when you cut into the breast.
Pound chicken thin, wrap around frozen garlic-chive butter sticks, then coat in crunchy corn flakes for texture that rivals traditional breading.
The microwave cooks it through in about 8 minutes while the butter melts into pockets of garlicky richness.
Pair with mashed potatoes or rice to catch every drop of that herb-infused butter sauce.
Kitchen Tips
- Freeze that butter solid: The firmer the butter rectangle, the easier to wrap and the less likely to leak during cooking.
- Seal those edges: Overlap the chicken breast edges well and secure with toothpicks to trap butter inside.
- Let it rest: The 5-minute standing time lets butter redistribute through the meat rather than all rushing out when you slice.
